Not much to shout about for those two months. April saw a 2 unit profit, while May was unfortunate and returned 12 units loss.
A common theme for us is to have selections running well without winning and we saw the same during this two month period. I won't be listing which horses were unlucky or not. We're just going to crack on with things and hopefully have a good June. With Royal Ascot on the horizon, I'm always confident, because it's the best flat meeting in the calendar.
Thanks for the continued support!
Last month's review to come later in the week.
Strong March, as it’s often the case for me. This is the fourth consecutive winning Cheltenham Festival for the service. A profit just shot of 22 units achieved for the full month.
List Of Winners - Sizing John 8/1, Tully East 12/1
List Of Places - Wonderful Charm 11/2, L’Ami Serge 33/1, Potters Legend 14/1, Thomas Crapper 8/1, Sutton Manor 25/1, Top Notch 4/1, Nietzsche 25/1, Taquin Du Seuil 16/1, Noble Endeavor 10/1, Royal Caviar 7/2, Ardamir 11/2, Fixe Le Kap 6/1
Despite the solid figures, I can’t help but feel slightly disappointing that many of our big priced selections finished so close. It’s been going on for some time now and those of you longer with the service probably have noticed how many big prices finish 2nd or 3rd for me. If just a couple of those win, it makes a huge swing.
April will be similarly active from me although we won’t see as much action at Aintree as we did at Cheltenham. However there should still be a decent number of bets. There’s always good betting opportunities at the National meeting.
As ever, thanks for your support!
Appologies for the notification. I had a fancy, but unfortunately the horse has been withdrawn. No tips tonight.
There should be a few tomorrow.
Not much to shout about with 10 units loss, but January is always a difficult month for tipping purposes.
Incredible amount of horses are unfit and just not right, so we just need some luck with them.
Hopefully more to come over the next few weeks. February is quite tricky as well, but some big races on the horizon and then it's all about Cheltenham.
Single unit loss for November.
List of winners - What A Moment 8/1
List of places - Corrin Wood 10/1, Anfaass 14/1
Extremely quiet month for me, but November is always tricky with the transition from flat to jumps.
After starting well with a big winner at Cheltenham, there weren't really that many betting opportunities. I thought Corrin Wood had his race won at Cheltenham having set a nice pace, but was unlucky to meet a very well handicapped horse, who just blew the field away.
Nice winner in the Becher on Saturday, which was my fourth in a row in the race. Lowest price from the four years with some huge priecs landed previously, but solid stake and that sets us up nicely to finish the year on a high. Fingres crossed no setbacks this time around.
Thanks again for all your continued support!
A little over 8 units profit made in October.
List of winners - Antony 12/1, The Tin Man 8/1, Garter 12/1
List of places - Blair House 9/2, Hilary J 16/1, Dougan 10/1, Simple Verse 6/1
It's nice to make some sort of recovery after a bad September. Once again a lot of horses ran very well, which has been the case most of the year, but the difference between places and winners is huge. I'm very disappointed with Morando. Met trouble several times at crucial moments, I genuinely think he would've won with a clear run, which is a 10 unit swing.
On the whole it's been a quiet flat season with not that many betting opportunities and when the fancies have been strong, they found a way to finish just outside the money or in second.
The jumps are now in full swing and it's good to get a big Saturday winner with my first NH bet for the season. Hopefully a sign of things to come over the winter.
Thanks for the continued support and the target now is to have a strong two months for the year, so we can at least record some profit in 2016!
Only 2 of the bets are in the 2pm Ascot. The other is in the 1:35pm race.
Very disappointing month with 17 units loss.
List of winners - Alberta 7/1, Zwayyan 6/4
List of places - Edward Lewis 8/1, Mustallib 5/1, Gold Return 5/1, Jupiter Custos 10/3, Thesme 4/1, The Tin Man 8/1, Mitchum Swagger 4/1
So many seconds again. The most disappointing one Edward Lewis last weekend when he clearly was the best horse in the race, but Havlin decided to wait ages for a gap. Stayed on strongly to join leader on line, but needed a few more yards to get past. Same could be said about Mustallib earlier in the month, who also traveled like the best horse in the race and found trouble in running.
Story of our season is constant good runs, but somehow finishing second when they should be winning or just outside the places when they should be placed. It's frustrating, but I am used to this with my long experience in the game. Hopefully you aren't affected by it and appreciate that it's a long term game.
October brings the finish of the flat season with Ascot's Champions weekend, some big races at Doncaster and the Arc today. Should still be plenty of betting opportunities on the level until the jumps start. Thanks a lot for your continued support and let's hope and break in profit for the year for the reminder of the year. It won't be big as previous seasons, but certainly achievable.
Level month in August. A slight loss of -0.64 units recoreded.
List of winners - Treasury Notes 5/1, Barsanti 11/2
List of places - Beadlam 6/1, Dark Red 8/1, Red Napoleon 12/1, Combative 5/1
Just like it's been the case all season a lot of our selections ran well and only one place better would've made huge difference on the p/l figures. Second placed ones again with Dark Red and Combative running great races in defeat. Red Napoleon also had every chance to win at York, but paid for following the mad early pace and wekaned into a close third.
Most of all I regret the Thesme bet at 100/1 though. She ran so well and wekened into fifth right in the final strides. I hope some of you took the 66/1 at Sky with 5 places. At least that would be a consolation for the run.
September brings us some very good racing, starting us off with the Doncaster St Leger festival today. There should be some good bets as we go along.
Thanks for the suopport and we will continue to do our thing until the tide turns!
Ascot's day 1 is always bad, but it's never been as worse as this.
I like Mecca's Angel and The Gurkha, but at these prices it's just not worth it.
More action later in the week. No bets today.
3 units profit made in May.
List of winners - Forever Popular 11/1, Dark Red 11/2, Walpole Evs
List of places - Music Major 7/2, Strong Steps 14/1, Ski Blast 9/1, Thesme 12/1, Dougan 6/1
Another month of what could’ve been, but this time not so much hard luck rather than poor rides cost us dearly. Especially the two rides Predominance was given. I still don’t understand why jockeys decide to hold him up over seven furlongs. If he was ridden closer to the pace he would’ve had every chance on both occasions.
Onto better things in June. Ascot is in a week, so we will seriously get stuck into the flat season now. I would expect plenty of bets over the 5 days, so be prepared with your bank. The meeting is from 14 to 18 June and there will be plenty of action from me.
Thanks for your support and hopefully we can put a winning run together. On the whole selections aren’t running bad at all, so I’m quite confident we can have a strong second half of the year.
Shame about April, because many horses ran well and after a great 2 unit winner in More Mischief we just didn’t hit another to make it a profitable month. Just over 2 units loss recorded.
List of winners - More Mischief 11/2
List of places - Emerald 14/1, Don Poli 11/2, Fairy Rath 25/1, Goonyella 25/1, Conas Taoi 11/2, Music Major 9/2
Fairy Rath undoubtedly the biggest swing finishing second at 25/1. Ran another terrific race in the Topham, but just like last year found one too good. Others like Don Poli and Conas Taoi ran great races as well, but again had to settle for second.
Main thing remains that horses are running well in general. Racing’s just about riding these moments out until the winning sequence of bets comes. Flat is in full swing now, so there are at least better betting opportunities out there.
A solid winner at Chester today sets us up nicely. The Dante meeting is next week and May should hopefully see us have more strong bets than it was the case over the winter.
Thanks for your support!
Relatively quiet month and not a very eventful Cheltenham, but we still made profit at the festival., which has happened every time since I'vebeen tipping. Month finished on 5 units profit.
List Of Winners - Music Major 8/1, Cause Of Causes 6/1, Sprinter Sacre 11/2
List Of Places - Alpha Des Obeaux 8/1, Bless The Wings 33/1, God's Own 12/1
I thought we were quite unlucky not to have a 33/1 winner in Bless The Wings. Jamie Codd went for it too soon and the horse just does absolutely nothing in front. He ran exactly the same in the Irish National and almost won it with Ruby Walsh waiting to pounce a little longer.
Thankfully April should finally see us have a bit more fun. The flat is starting and Aintree is just around the corner, so we should be in full swing pretty soon.
Thanks for the support and I hope I can really start betting in full force from here on. Jumps aren't what they used to be, so the bulk of our betting will be done on the flat until the quality of the National Hunt season improves.
Unfortunately February was another losing month for the service with 8 units loss recorded. The horse racing game is in a weird thing in the winter months. Everything is now about Cheltenham and Aintree in the spring. The jumps season before that hardly exists.
With Cheltenham approaching, I wanted to make sure everyone is prepared for these types of markets. There were a few confused emails last year when I tipped in the Arkle w/o Un De Sceaux. With Willie Mullins dominating most races with very short priced favourites, we might try and exploit the value, which is in the w/o fav market.
Here are two examples. The Arkle without Douvan and the Queen Mother without Un De Sceaux. I will give out tips closer to the days, but I just want you to be prepared for it. There will also be markets on Betfair, which is great.
Any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
The tips are at 15:00 and 15:30 Sandown. I put both at 15:30 by mistake. We'll fix that later.
January is always a difficult month with bad weather and lack of betting opportunities. We finish the month with 7 units loss.
List of winners - Russe Blanc 20/1
List of places - Western Warrior 6/1
Brasted and Western Warrior were quite unlucky to finish second. Brasted especially after going wide on the bend and powering up the straight to get within a nose of the winner.
I genuinely believe we also missed a winner in the Welsh National. Or worst case a place. Midnight Prayer was coughing during the week leading to the race, so he was declared a non runner, but then ran a stormer at Warwick. With Alan King's current form I think he would've gone close.
Thank you for your continued support and as you well know this game is all about long term strategy, so a losing month shouldn't discourage you going forward. Especially in January.
A mention for this extremely likable horse.
I've tipped him 5 times. He's always returned profit for us. 2 wins and 3 places.
Officially one of my favourite horses in training. This is what jumps racing is all about!
We finish the year with a very good month. 12 units profit were achieved in December.
List of winners - Minstrels Gallery 14/1 (r4), Highland Lodge 33/1.
List of places - Wild Rover 5/1 (r4), Amidon 15/2 (bog), Vautour 4/1, Fast Sprite 4/1, Soll 12/1.
Even in a profitable month, few of the results totally sum up our year. Amidon and Vautour both traded odds on in running and somehow finished second. How on earth Vautour didn't win the King George I'll never know!
It's still been a good year in my book. The service averages 12 units monthly since it has started. If you put that into perspective, that is still more than 100 units yearly. 2015 shouldn't be looked in isolation, because 2013 and 2014 were extremely good. That's why I always urge people to be prepared to bet long term. There will be highs and lows, but with the required patience and discipline, it should always be worth it in the end.
I wish all of you a Happy New Year and let's hope we can have another prosperous and profitable punting year in 2016!
The Welsh National has been postponed for 9th January 2016. All antepost bets remain running, because the race hasn't been reopened.
I feel I need to write a few words after several of you have asked why there haven't been many bets this month. Long standing subscribers of the service know that I'm all about top quality racing. The sport however has changed over the last few years, everything now is geared towards big festivals and Saturdays.
I want to make sure people know my process. I study the cards every single day. If there isn't any bet I won't tip for the sake of it. That's why I can go for weeks without a bet, then have a bunch on a Saturday like it was the case this month.
Don't look at the service as paying for tips. Look at it as a subscription for me doing my work and choosing the right races and the right horses to back when all my requisites are met. Good improving horses, in form yards, good jockeys on board and last but not least a value in the price. This strict following of my principals allows me to be profitable year after year in the sport.
Last week I had three fancies, which I almost tipped. All three finished unplaced. In most cases when they aren't strong enough to be bets, I prefer not to tip. That way I'm saving you and myself money, make no mistake about it!
There's plenty of tipsters, who can offer you tips every single day, but for me it's always about consistency and discipline. Yearly I'll always tip over a bet per day, so on average 400 tips is just about what you can expect for the year. I hope you understand why I do that and it's only the long term profit that matters. My motto is and always has been quality over quantity and you can bet I won't be changing it any time soon.
Thanks for your continued support!
Nice August with 12.5 units profit, which is our fourth consecutive month in the green. It's been a slow year for us, but not once I've been worried, because the horses have been running well.
Winners - Thesme 11/1, Elhaame 8/1, Memorial Day 8/1 (dead heat), Don't Touch 4/1, Halation 11/2, Rembrandt Van Rijn 5/1.
Places - Ridge Ranger 7/1, Important Message 5/1, Elbereth 11/2, Obsidian 8/1.
The flat is now slowly edging towards its end and not much left until the jumpers start rolling in their full flow. There's still some great flat cards on the horizon though. Doncaster's Leger meeting and Ascot's Champions weekend to name a few.
I'm relatively happy with our figures considering the number of second places and unlucky losers we've had this year. Hopefully it's only a matter of time for us to go into a more profitable winning run.
Thanks to all subscribers and let's try and make it five winnings months on the trot!
Royal Ascot is just around the corner. For me it's the best flat festival and we always see fantastic racing during the five days. The weather promises to be very good, which will see the meeting in its ultimate glamour and I hope it's a success on the betting front too.
Last year we had three big winners - Born In Bombay 14/1, Eagle Top 12/1 and Richard Pankhurst 10/1. I hope we can do something along those line this year as well.
There will be a lot of action from me every day next week starting from Tuesday, so prepare your banks accordingly and keep your fingers crossed!
I'm so happy that we managed to finish the year on a high. Tenth consecutive winning month with 22 units profit achieved. Fourth consecutive in the double digits and fifth for the year exceeding 20 units.
List of winners - Oscar Time 33/1, Lacan 9/2, Major Rowan 12/1.
List of places - Chance Du Roy 12/1, Saint Are 14/1, Bennys Mist 12/1, Hardy Black 6/1, Le Reve 12/1, Until Midnight 8/1, Desert Joe 7/1.
Once again three winners, but Oscar Time in the Becher Chase made all the difference and ensured we got a healthy return on our investment.
The month finished with a few horses narrowly beaten (Hardy Black, Desert Joe, Le Reve) and a few finishing just outside the places. I can't and shouldn't complain though!
January and February are usually slow months for me. I'll do my best to start the year well, but there might be a lack of betting opportunities. We'll see how that'll pan out, but I won't be forcing any bets just for the sake of it.
We've had a great year and I thank you sincerely for the support. I hope you will continue to enjoy my tips. I'll be doing a full yearly review soon. Thanks again and here's to a successful and enjoyable 2015!
Sixth winning month in a row for us and seven units profit in August.
List of winners - Duke Cosimo 11/1, Poyle Vinnie 4/1, The Corsican 8/1, Ski Lift 9/2.
List of places - Astronereus 8/1, Badr Al Badoor 14/1.
We were quite unlucky on the two placed horses this month. Astronereus lost by a nose with jockey Emma-Jayne Wilson dropping her whip a furlong out. Badr Al Badoor travelled like a dream and also lost by a nose getting mugged on the line by old timer Morache Music.
September is shaping up to be quite an interesting month. The Ayr Gold Cup meeting is at the end of it and Haydock's Sprint Cup is this weekend. Few other good cards in the middle of the month including the St Leger at Doncater. It's usually tricky when the flat season is finishing and the jumps are around the corner, but I have fair few horses in my notebook and most of them are likely to appear at least one more time before the season ends.
Thanks to all of you and you know me, I'm going to do everything in my power to have a seventh consecutive winning month!
Hi guys, very happy to be part of this website. I'll post a preview of the Paddy Power Gold Cup in the coming weeks.
